Why Ride Spain With Us?
Spain is not short of cycling options — or cycling companies. The country is so well established as a destination that the challenge isn't finding somewhere to ride, it's cutting through the noise to find the routes that actually deliver on the reputation.
The Pyrenees that feel like a discovery rather than a tourist trail. The Andalusian backroads that don't appear on the standard itineraries. The Basque climbs beyond the ones everyone already knows. Six distinct cycling regions, each with its own character, season and ideal rider profile — knowing which one suits you, and when, is where our experience earns its place.
Every tour we plan for you includes:
Detailed self-guided itinerary with route notes and daily stage information
GPS tracks and a navigation app loaded before you leave
All accommodations booked, with breakfast included
Daily luggage transfer between hotels
Bike rental delivered straight to your first hotel
24/7 support from our team throughout your trip
You ride. We handle everything else.

The Country That Never Runs Out of Roads
Spain's greatest asset is that somewhere is always in season.
Winter: Tenerife, Lanzarote and Andalusia. Warm, dry and where the pro peloton trains.
Spring: Girona and the Pyrenees foothills — the finest window for mainland riding.
Summer: High Pyrenees and Sierra Nevada, where altitude keeps temperatures manageable.
Autumn: Basque Country and Catalonia at their quietest and most beautiful.
Girona — the pro cycling capital of Europe. Varied terrain from flat coastal roads to Pyrenean foothills, excellent infrastructure and rideable March through November
Pyrenees — Grand Tour cols, quiet Catalan villages and the most dramatic mountain cycling on the Iberian peninsula. Best from June through September when passes are fully open
Basque Country — short, brutal climbs, deep cycling culture and some of the finest food in Europe. The Vuelta is part of the local identity here in a way few other places match
Andalusia — white villages, Sierra Nevada altitude roads and warm winters. The best mainland option when the rest of Europe is closed
Four routes every cyclist in Spain eventually rides:
Alto de l'Angliru — 12.9 km at an average of 10%, with ramps touching 23%. Widely considered the hardest climb in professional cycling.
Rocacorba — the benchmark Girona climb, 9.6 km at 5.5%, where professionals measure their form.
Tourmalet/Aubisque — the Pyrenean giants straddle the French border and define mountain cycling in the Iberian peninsula.
Sierra Nevada — Europe's southernmost ski resort, reached by road from Granada. Winter cycling at altitude.
Spain is well set up for cyclists — particularly in the established regions. Girona, the Basque Country and Mallorca have the strongest cycling infrastructure: bike-friendly hotels, repair shops and café culture built around the sport.
Rural roads throughout are generally quiet and well-surfaced. Drivers in cycling hotspots are accustomed to riders. Spain uses the euro, card payments are accepted almost everywhere and English is widely spoken in tourist areas and cycling hotels.
Spain's race calendar is the richest in our portfolio:
Vuelta a España — three weeks each August–September across the country's finest climbs
La Vuelta Femenina — the women's equivalent, growing in profile annually
Clásica San Sebastián — one-day Monument in the Basque Country each August
Volta a Catalunya — week-long stage race through Catalonia each March
Spain borders several of our other destinations and connects naturally into multi-country tours.
Portugal shares the Iberian peninsula — the Algarve sits just across the border from Andalusia and combines well as a two-week itinerary.
The French Pyrenees extend directly from the Spanish side, making a cross-border Pyrenean tour one of our most popular multi-destination options.
Spain's islands offer something no mainland destination can — reliable sunshine and rideable roads in the depths of winter.
Tenerife has become the premier altitude training destination in Europe — Mount Teide at 3,715 m provides climbs that no other cycling island can match.
Mallorca is the most established cycling island on the continent, with the Serra de Tramuntana and over 150,000 cycling tourists annually. Both have their own dedicated destination pages with full tour information.
